The School of Supernatural History is about journeying together through the pages of Scripture and the pages of History, His Story, to better know our beloved. In doing so we position ourselves to partner with the Lord in our day knowing the rich inheritance left to us by God through the saints of old.
History is full of testimonies of God journeying with humanity into the fullness of life. Signs, wonders, miracles of old, revivals and national reformations, all are buried beneath the years that separate us, from then until this present day. They’re like treasure’s awaiting excavation and discovery. Each story embodies the self-disclosure of God to us, so that we would know Him and learn His ways intimately. I believe it is time to look at revival from God’s view and that in doing so we will see why revival’s have often abruptly ended which is something so far from God’s desire for us.
From the moment of my conversion in 2006 I have been an avid student of revival; after all, revival was what I experienced: being dead in my trespasses and then made alive in Christ. Later during Bible College I remember being drawn to and choosing all of the many revival electives. Here we would revisit testimonies from revival history and as I listened I could feel the fire’s of revival being stoked in me. I cannot stop and I have no intention to. The Bible exhorts us to hold onto what God has done, as invaluable treasure, and allow these testimonies to prophesy into our day and beyond.
It is what God does when He comes close – He revives us and we overflow with life. Through supernatural history, especially in the Bible, we uncover the person of God – the one we love!
